Privacy policy
Effective July 17, 2026
This policy covers youdontevenhear.me and its subdomains, including the YDEHM clipping platform ("YDEHM", "we"). It explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site and the clipping program, we don't run ads or analytics trackers, and we never sell your data.
Information we collect
- Email signups — the email address you submit on the landing page, used only to notify you about our launch.
- Editor applications — the contact details, rate, and portfolio information you choose to submit on the apply page, used only to evaluate and respond to your application.
- Clipping accounts — an email address, display name, and password (stored as a salted hash; we never see the plaintext) when you create an account on the clipping platform, plus session data kept in HTTP-only cookies.
- Clip submissions — the video URLs you submit to campaigns and the public engagement metrics of those videos (views, likes, comments), which we record over time to calculate campaign earnings and detect fraudulent activity.
YouTube and Google user data
YDEHM uses YouTube API Services. By using features that read YouTube data you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Public video statistics (view, like, and comment counts of submitted clips) are read without any access to your Google account. If you choose to connect your YouTube channel, we additionally access, with your consent through Google sign-in:
- your channel identity (channel ID and name), to verify that submitted clips belong to your channel;
- analytics for videos you submitted to campaigns (such as views, engaged views, audience retention, and traffic sources), used solely to validate view counts for payouts and to detect artificial or purchased engagement.
We store the OAuth tokens for this connection encrypted, and only for as long as your channel stays connected. We do not use this data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with anyone except as required to operate the service (see below). Humans at YDEHM only look at it to review flagged activity, resolve a support request you raise, or as required by law.
YDEHM's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect your channel at any time from your dashboard, which deletes the stored tokens, or revoke YDEHM's access directly in your Google security settings.
Cookies
The clipping platform sets HTTP-only session cookies so you stay signed in. That's it — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics.
Where your data lives
Everything runs on Cloudflare (Workers and the D1 database), which processes data on our behalf. New editor applications trigger an internal Discord notification containing the details you submitted. When campaign payouts launch, payments will be handled by a payment processor (such as Stripe), which will collect the identity and banking details it needs directly from you under its own privacy policy. We share data with no one else, and we never sell it.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and campaign records while your account is active or while we're legally required to retain payment records. Disconnecting a social account deletes its stored tokens immediately. To delete your account or any data you've submitted, contact us and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the effective date above, and note the change prominently on the site.
